I finished a pendant that is a twist of stones and silver wire. I wanted it to have stones on all sides and no matter which way it hangs it would have something pretty. I had a piece of the Chrysocolla/Malachite Drusy from Peru and I wanted it to be the focal. I soldered a couple of pieces of 18 gauge silver wire to make it look like a dragon finger, or so it does to me anyway. Then I started weaving from it. The piece has 3 tourmalines, 2 garnets, and a spinel along with the drusy cab. Here is the pic for it and a lil video.

I had an idea for another but it will have to wait since my life has been invaded by a couple of lil gremlins.

They are so much fun, but just like kids they take up alot of time.
Thanks for coming by!

So I’ve been wrapping a couple of pendants for the past couple of weeks and I have been wanting to make something in line with an amulet. Something different. So with a little weaving and then a little more weaving I have come up with these new two. The first has 2 tourmalines and a Mexican fire opal, the second has a faceted red garnet and blue green piece of apatite.
I am once again addicted to wrapping. Seems like I can’t stop for awhile then I take a break then back to being addicted. Crazy stuff.
Well thanks for stopping by! Hope you get to enjoy the the three day weekend. I know I am.

So I cut the Chrysocolla side of the rock from the prior post. It was a little tough, being that I didn’t want to cut it wrong or lose any of the druzy. I then cabbed it and was really happy with the outcome. I also cabbed a piece Morrisonite that takes a shine like glass with very little effort. Love this stuff. Here’s a few clickable pics.
If you want to buy some awesome druzy, just go to Nuevo Mundo Imports he still has some rough and slabs for now anyway.

These pendants have taken me for quite a ride. But they’re finally done. My daughter called the first one head over heels. Maybe you can see why… the second one is just plain crazy.
Thanks for coming by have a wonderful week!

Well I received a box from a nice person on the RTH forum. She was kind enough to send a box of leather pieces plus a few gifts. People in the rock hobbies are so kind. I was wanting some of that leather to use to polish boulder opal. I have enough now to last a very, very long time. I’m gonna post some pics. I have also gotten the chance to do a lil cabbing and weaving silver. I have to send a lil thank you, don’t I?

Well its been a great few days of cabbing and wrapping silver. Ok a lil shopping added to the mix made for a great little vacation.
I wrapped a few faceted stones and I’m really enjoying the shine they put out. Its almost to the point I want to learn how. Almost because of the price of a faceting machine.
Well here’s a few pics of some cabs. They are pietersite, 2 seraphinite, turtella, moss agate, flourite, a pink botswana agate, and a porcelain jasper. The wraps are peridot, garnet, and blue green tourmaline.
As for the shopping I upgraded my Iphone. I had wanted to since the new 3gs was unveiled, but every time I had visited the Apple store or AT&T store they were out. Not this time, yay! I like the camera and have had no issues, but I really hadn’t expected any. On my last one I was pushing the limit on memory space, so with the upgrade I have lots more room. My husband was still using his 2g so he got the hand me down 3g and was happy with that. His 2g will be a nice itouch or back up phone if its ever needed. Still love my Iphone.
Until next time…

Man its hot!! Not the usual for this area, and I’m so not used to it anymore. I did take the time to polish a few pieces of jewelry and take a few pics this past weekend. So here they are…

Mexican Fire agate
The sunstones were a nice buy at the gem and mineral show this past weekend in Santa Clara. Which was the best gem show I had been to in a very long time.
I hope you like, thanks for looking…If you’re interested in any of the pieces click on the link at the top right, where it says shop here.
