I finished a pendant that is a twist of stones and silver wire. I wanted it to have stones on all sides and no matter which way it hangs it would have something pretty. I had a piece of the Chrysocolla/Malachite Drusy from Peru and I wanted it to be the focal. I soldered a couple of pieces of 18 gauge silver wire to make it look like a dragon finger, or so it does to me anyway. Then I started weaving from it. The piece has 3 tourmalines, 2 garnets, and a spinel along with the drusy cab. Here is the pic for it and a lil video.

I had an idea for another but it will have to wait since my life has been invaded by a couple of lil gremlins.

They are so much fun, but just like kids they take up alot of time.
Thanks for coming by!

Super Bowl Sunday, and I get to cab til the game starts. Thats a wonderful day!.
I cabbed a small piece of Chrysocolla drusy that as left from a piece of stone I won on the Taogem forum. It had some amazing blue green or teal colored druse and dark green malachite druse. Its from Nuevo Mundo Imports. I highly recommend them if you want the best chrysocolla and malachite drusy. The crystals are so clear and shiny. Awesome stuff. Its pricey but you get what you pay for. I also cabbed another quartz drusy cab.
I also cabbed a Queensland agate. The Queensland agate has some very nice patterning and layers, plus a little drusy in the middle. Love it!
I got some wirewrapping in on Saturday too! What a productive weekend right? Who needs to sleep. Once I start a piece of jewelry its hard to put it down. It’s the drusy cab from last weekend. It reminds me of the milky way, stars and flow, I hope you like it!

The icing on the cake?
Green bay won! yay!!

So I cut the Chrysocolla side of the rock from the prior post. It was a little tough, being that I didn’t want to cut it wrong or lose any of the druzy. I then cabbed it and was really happy with the outcome. I also cabbed a piece Morrisonite that takes a shine like glass with very little effort. Love this stuff. Here’s a few clickable pics.
If you want to buy some awesome druzy, just go to Nuevo Mundo Imports he still has some rough and slabs for now anyway.
We are having a heat wave!

The best thing about the bay area is the weather. Usually that is. Today the sun got us into the hundred degree stuff! Yesterday was just as bad too. That said outside activities were morning ones and then outta the heat the rest of the day. I did my best to make a new piece or at least start one but to no avail. I have wrappers block. That’s what my husband calls it. lol
I finished one pendant that I had started during the week and thats about it. I was wanting to break out and try something a lil different so, yeah, scrap metal baby!.. I know your probably tired of the lil green stones I’m so happy about but seriously, I’m gonna show you the other one I had in the first batch then I promise to keep going with new stuff. That said here ya go….
I hope you all had a great weekend.
Stay cool!
Day to play!

Wow, great weather for cabbing and just being outside. The sunstones I bought last weekend have been of really good quality. I wish I could capture the chatoyancy in a picture. They are just beautiful and I’m sure they’re gonna make great pieces of jewelry. Well here are a couple that are finished as well as a couple of Mexican fire opals with different colors that are much more vibrant in person.
Also polished are these 2 pendants
