The sun decided to make an appearance mid morning and made for a great day to cut some stone. This is something I love to do. I was planning on cutting the malachite end of the druzy but found some Morgan Hill poppy jasper, script stone, agate and some green stone that I’m thinking is a petrified bog. It has some awesome greens in it, and takes a great shine. I kept finding stuff I’ve been wanting to cut or polish, so rocks just kept jumping into my hands. Ok so I finally got the saw out and cut it up here are some pics of what I ended up with.

Now to cab it all.

Happy Valentines day! I hope you get to spend time with someone you love, doing something you love to do.

Gifts

Well I received a box from a nice person on the RTH forum. She was kind enough to send a box of leather pieces plus a few gifts.  People in the rock hobbies are so kind. I was wanting some of that leather to use to polish boulder opal. I have enough now to last a very, very long time.  I’m gonna post some pics. I have also gotten the chance to do a lil cabbing and weaving silver.  I have to send a lil thank you, don’t I? 🙂

Estate sale revisted

Had to make another trip before they decide to stop selling the Morgan Hill poppy jasper. The house has been sold and they will be moving on.  They are getting rid of all they can and letting people go up the hill and dig out what they can. Sadness. Anyways this is what I bought.

Love the orbs in a few pieces, gonna have a great time cabbing them up and sending to my kids and grandkids. Thanks for checking them out!

Estate sale!

Ok so I went to visit family and was informed of an estate sale where they were selling Morgan Hill poppy jasper.  Its usually pretty expensive so I thought I’ll just go by and see what they’ve got and what I can’t have. ha! It was priced ok and they were saying that they were actually still taking it out of the hill just behind us!.. It was all different colors and since I really didn’t expect to buy much, I didn’t have much cash on me.  I gave them all I had tho! Here’s some pics…

I have to go back…
