So I’ve been wrapping a couple of pendants for the past couple of weeks and I have been wanting to make something in line with an amulet. Something different. So with a little weaving and then a little more weaving I have come up with these new two. The first has 2 tourmalines and a Mexican fire opal, the second has a faceted red garnet and blue green piece of apatite.
I am once again addicted to wrapping. Seems like I can’t stop for awhile then I take a break then back to being addicted. Crazy stuff.
Well thanks for stopping by! Hope you get to enjoy the the three day weekend. I know I am. 🙂

Super Bowl Sunday, and I get to cab til the game starts. Thats a wonderful day!.
I cabbed a small piece of Chrysocolla drusy that as left from a piece of stone I won on the Taogem forum. Â It had some amazing blue green or teal colored druse and dark green malachite druse. Â Its from Nuevo Mundo Imports. I highly recommend them if you want the best chrysocolla and malachite drusy. The crystals are so clear and shiny. Awesome stuff. Its pricey but you get what you pay for. I also cabbed another quartz drusy cab.

I also cabbed a Queensland agate. The Queensland agate has some very nice patterning and layers, plus a little drusy in the middle. Love it!

The icing on the cake?
Green bay won! yay!!

Just a little that is. Time has not been a friend, but I have been able to get a few things done. I cabbed a couple of Malachite cabs and although it was messy, I really like this stuff. Its pretty soft material and it takes a good shine. I cabbed a Morgan HIll poppy jasper and dino bone cab but the pictures, didn’t turn out so well. I also wrapped a couple of pendants. A dino bone and a turquoise pendant.
Well hope you had a great weekend and have a great week to come!!

Today was a great day for cabbing. Not too hot and no interruptions. I had a few cuts of dino bone and a couple of others. So I just had to use them up. My saw blade is busted so I have to use up what’s already cut up. I go thru these stages where I really like a certain rock for awhile and then go on to another. But while I’m obsessed its all about that rock. lol Right now its dino bone. Boulder opal is always at the top of my list tho. There’s always time for a boulder opal.
I also finished up a wrap of the Berrendo agate from last weekend. My goal was to showcase the cab since the color is so intense. I also wanted to keep the middle of the cab unobstructed all the way thru where its transparent.
Here’s the pics…
I hope your weekend was wonderful!

The weekend was a long and beautiful one. I hope you all had a really nice holiday. As usual it went fast.
I’ve been looking for some kind of inspiration and I stumbled on a blog by Twisted sister art. Well this lady is just amazing. Her style is unique and inspiring.
I did get a chance to do a lil cabbing and wire wrapping. I’ve been trying to change wrapping style a bit, but I’m gonna have to practice. I tend to get bored easily and I like a good challenge.
The cabs are peridot, garnets, fire agates, Topaz and Morgan Hill poppy jasper. As for the wrapping. Ok the first one, I’m still on the fence about. Reminds me of a tadpole. 🙂 The peridot one I like better. But then again its closer to my original stuff. So Let me know what you think of the tadpole. Here are few pics.
Thanks for taking a few minutes to stop by. ☮

Thats a given, for Saturday. Anyhoo, I got to finish a couple of cabs, start a few others, as well as finish up a pendant and start a few. Here my hard work for the day even tho it doesn’t seem like much.. I’m only posting the finished stuff.
I hope everyone’s weekend ended safe and happy as did mine and those closest to me. You know who are.

Wow, great weather for cabbing and just being outside. The sunstones I bought last weekend have been of really good quality.  I wish I could capture the chatoyancy in a picture. They are just beautiful and I’m sure they’re gonna make great pieces of jewelry. Well here are a couple that are finished as well as a couple of Mexican fire opals with different colors that are much more vibrant in person.

Also polished are these 2 pendants
